Membership renewals are due as of the 13th March 2019.

Dear Member

Just a quick reminder that MBLA memberships will come due as of 13th March 2019.

We would not like to lose you so should you decide to renew for the coming season, you will be most welcome.

If you wish to renew please do so at your earliest convenience. See important details below

I hope you will enjoy some good sailing with us this season. The skippers have already been busy preparing this year’s sailing program and hopefully it will be equally as good as passed years.

We look forward to your continued support for the forthcoming season, let’s hope the weather is kind to us and we have good warm spells with fair winds during 2019.

Please note that if you joined the association after the end of August 2018 then you will not need to renew until March 2020.

Data Protection

Please note there was a change in the law relating to the Data Protection Act. The new act: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into law from 25th May 2018. This law replaced the earlier Data Protection Act. To allow the association to comply with the new GDPR we need to ensure that the MBLA:-

a) Hold correct and up to date records of our members (paper & digital).

b) Has your permission to hold/store/use the data you give us on the Membership Application form.

c) Note: You cannot automatically opt IN or opt OUT. You must give us your permission.

d) Produce a policy document outlining how MBLA will collect/store/use/destroy your data and a complaints procedure should you have one.

Please note we currently use an email system to notify you of forthcoming events, Sailing Programs (& changes) etc. It is very important that we have your correct email address otherwise you will miss out on some important events or changes going on within MBLA. If you have changed any of your personal details; email, phone, mobile, address and NOK etc. please complete the membership application form.

2019 Sailing Program

The 2019 season sailing program will be available at the AGM should you decide to attend. If not, it will be sent to current members preferably by email if you have one (thus it is important to have your correct email address). If not, it will be posted to you ASAP after the AGM.

Thanks for your support

I look forward to your continued support and wish you happy sailing during 2019. Why not visit our web site:

Marine Traffic

You can also watch where HR is sailing as we have installed AIS on Happy Return? This will allow you to follow her progress by going to Marine Traffic:

Go to the Search box (upper left-hand corner) and put in ships name (Happy Return) and it will tell you where we are etc.

You can also download the App to your mobile or tablet if required but there might be a small cost for this?
