The MOUNTS BAY LUGGER ASSOCIATION has been sailing the Dunkirk Small Ship Happy Return from Penzance for over 20 years.

Happy Return was built by Kitto In Porthleven and launched in 1905.

When she was decommissioned in 1998 she was and still is the oldest fishing boat working in the U.K. fleet.

The MBLA made her first restoration from 98 and relaunched her in 2003.

Since then she has sailed to France, the Scillies , Devon and in Mounts Bay continually through the sailing season.

A piece of living Cornish history that teaches the art of traditional sailing and maintenance to the Cornish community.

The time has now come for her to be hauled out and her fixings and caulking replaced.

Please donate to keep this Cornish icon sailing and continue the future of traditional sailing.
