The Happy Return is based at Penzance and during the sailing season we are regularly seen in Mount's Bay when our members take day sails or set off on longer trips.

Mount's Bay

Mount's Bay is the beautiful stretch of water which forms our home sailing ground. We plan regular short trips in the bay and longer day sails. There are a number of small ports, such as Porthleven and Mullion, which provide the opportunity for an overnight stay.

The scilly Isles

The Scilly Isles are one of the most picturesque parts of the United Kingdom. Consisting of an archipelago of islands, this part of Britain is largely unspoilt and offers beautiful scenery and nature in abundance. Visits to the islands are arranged each year and usually last three to five days.

The Lizard and beyond

Trips taking in a passage round the Lizard may include visits to the beautiful waters and villages of the south Cornish coast. These include the Helford River, Cadgwith, Mevagissey and Fowey.

Every two years, Looe hosts a weekend of sailing races for traditional luggers. Happy Return attends and we enjoy a weekend of races during the day and festivities at night.

The Brittany coast offers wonderful sailing opportunities and in many years a crew has arranged a trip of seven to ten days exploring this coastline and its rivers and ports. We have also taken part in the classic boat gatherings in Brest and Douarnenez.
